Martin Scott earned Ross County their first win in nine games with the only goal at bottom-of-the-table Airdrie.
County went ahead in the 25th minute when Sean Higgins gathered a poor clearance and sent Scott clear to shoot below goalkeeper Stephen Robertson and score his first goal for the Staggies since signing in August.
Michael Gardyne hit the crossbar and Robertson made some fine saves to keep his side in the game.
